The goals of Javelin Media have been to create and host films and visual slingshots which inform, inspire and entertain, and to build and broaden alliances with other radical antiracist groups and individuals. 

 

Following a reorganisation the future policies and management of the Javelin website are currently under review.

Santiago Rising meets social movements, protesters and ordinary people in their struggle for human rights. In October 2020, Chileans voted for a new constitution to replace the one imposed during the brutal Pinochet dictatorship. The film emphasises the role of music and art in political dissent. We also see the state’s failed attempts to crush the protest movement.
